Austex is committed to making a difference… Austex has designed the first true low impact synthetic leather fabric reducing the environmental impact on our Earth.
Its production requires one third less energy compared to P.V.C. fabrics. By not using P.V.C. the potential dangers in manufacturing chlorine based products are eliminated. No phthalate plasticizers are needed or used in the manufacturing of Soho. The exclusion of phthalate makes Soho a safer alternative to traditional vinyls. Formaldehyde is a hazardous chemical compound which is used as a polymer in P.V.C. Soho does not contain formaldehyde. Only low volatile organic compounds are emitted from the Soho range, making it a great choice for indoor usage. Soho meets the ROHS certification which specifies the restriction of hazardous substances. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacturing process.
